Aug. 27: Ramrez has accepted his outright a signment to Triple-A, . Aug. 26: The Twins have sent long reliever outright to Triple-A St. Paul, according to the MLB.com . Minnesota designated the veteran righty for a signment on Sunday when they called up . Ramrez has more than enough service time to elect free agency but could Dj Herz Jersey prefer to accept the Triple-A stint as depth for a young Minnesota pitching staff. Ramrez was called up at the beginning of August to backfill the bullpen after the Twins deadline sell-off. He pitched nine times, to sing 11 innings with three earned runs allowed. Ramrez only punched out five of 42 batters faced. He mi sed bats on 7% of his offerings while averaging 89 MPH on his cutter. The 35-year-old Ramrez has carved out a lengthy career based on his plus control and ability to absorb plenty of innings out of the bullpen. He spent the first three months of this season on the minor league injured list. Ramrez surrendered 10 earned runs with 15 strikeouts and four walks in 15 Triple-A frames before being called up.
