While large-scale machining is no longer the primary challenge in China’s valve industry, Magpie Valve focuses on what truly matters: the mechanical behavior of non-metallic materials, advanced coating technologies for sealing components, and the study of friction and wear mechanisms. These critical but often overlooked areas represent the real bottlenecks in achieving superior valve performance.
Our multidisciplinary team—comprising nuclear-grade sealing engineers, valve specialists, materials scientists, and electromechanical engineers—integrates academic research with industrial expertise to develop high-integrity valve solutions. We collaborate with renowned research institutions such as Lanzhou University of Technology’s National Key Friction Laboratory, Ningbo Institute of Materials, East China University of Science and Technology, and the Shanghai Institute of Ceramics. Together, we conduct in-depth studies on low-leakage graphite sealing technologies and systematically address the root causes of sealing failure.
Supported by rigorous testing and authoritative third-party validation, Magpie Valve holds a series of industry-recognized certifications, including API 622, API 624, API 641, ISO 15848-1, TA-LUFT, and ISO 15848-1 CC3. To date, we have tested nearly 500 valve products—from gate and globe valves to ball valves—under extreme temperatures ranging from 400°C to -196°C and pressures up to Class 2500 LB.
